Research Interests
My research engages interdisciplinary approaches to theorize pedagogy and sensation through aesthetics, politics, pop-cultural critique, and philosophical inquiry. My present focus uses new materialism to address assumptions made in educational studies about sense, experience, and pedagogy by examining how attention to thingness disrupts sedimented subject-object relationality.
I specialize in social and cultural foundations of education, embodied pedagogies, and philosophy of education, with particular attention to postfoundational theories in education studies.
